Ardbeg Day

Ardbeg is a veritable whisky institution, with more than 200 years of tradition. One highlight is the annual limited edition, which Ardbeg celebrates in the company of 500 lucky fans on Ardbeg Day. With games, entertainment, live music and catering, these Ardbeggians savour a day of whisky-themed excitement, culminating in the chance to take the long-awaited limited edition home with them. We have been bringing the Ardbeg Day to life in Germany since 2014, with and on behalf of our client Moët Hennessy.

Ardbeg Day 2019Carnival of Cultures

To mark the launch of the new Drum limited edition, filled in rum casks, we staged this year’s Ardbeg Day in the style of a Caribbean carnival at the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin.

In order to celebrate the year’s limited-edition whisky, Drum, whose unique finish comes courtesy of former rum casks from Jamaica, we transformed Ardbeg Day into a Scottish-Caribbean promotion as part of the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin. We took part in the parade with elaborately decorated floats in the colours of Scotland and Jamaica, colourful costumes and the Berlin Pipe Company, whose music generated a fantastic atmosphere. We were joined by countless Ardbeg fans, who celebrated Ardbeg and the day in fine style. The result: we managed to give away 5,000 whisky samples in five hours, and received an invitation for the following year’s Carnival of Cultures, which usually detests branded appearances. However, truly staging two cultures celebrating together convinced even the harshest critics.

Ardbeg Day 2018 – Peat and Love

We accompanied Ardbeg on their nationwide tour of Germany for the fifth time and organised their highlight, the annual Ardbeg Day in Offenbach. Under the banner of ‘Peat and Love’, we took our cue from the styles of the flower power era. An original vintage bus stopped in 15 places, offering a superb whisky tasting experience to the target group. The crowning glory of the roadshow, Ardbeg Day Germany, took the form of a vibrant festival, complete with games, drinks, bands and workshops.
