The event industry is one of the sectors that has undergone the most lasting changes as a result of the pandemic. While digital and hybrid events were initially emergency solutions, they are now an integral part of modern corporate communication.

HKBiS is responding to this development with a new qualification with an IHK certificate: in the “Director Digital and Hybrid Events IHK” course, event managers from companies and agencies will learn and deepen their knowledge of the entire spectrum of digital and hybrid events from November.

The curriculum includes strategy, conception, production and technology, agile and remote project organization, storytelling and dramaturgy, studio technology and directing, event platforms, second screen apps and much more. Best-practice cases illustrate the theory using real examples, while recognized benchmarks provide orientation for the performance of the industry. An outlook on the dynamic development of the event landscape and an overview of the latest tips, tricks and tools from the field of AI round off the offer.

The course will take place for the first time in November and is scheduled for two weeks, during which the courses will take place half-day (mornings) as live online training.

The course was developed and curated together with the creative agency ce+co, which had already attracted attention during the pandemic with innovative digital projects.
Cedric Ebener, Managing Director of the agency and long-standing jury chair of the “Events” category in the Art Directors Club Germany, was able to win over various independent industry experts as speakers for the new course:
Including Jens Bosch as a renowned event director, Miriam Wüstefeld as a multi-award-winning creative director and Stefanie Boenke, Head of Events at Roland Berger.

“The event industry has changed rapidly in recent years and requires new approaches to conception, planning and implementation, especially for digital and hybrid projects,” says Ebener. The course provides professionals with a unique opportunity to further their education in this dynamic and creative environment and equip themselves for the future.

“We are delighted that the HKBiS has included this course with an IHK certificate in its course program,“ says Cedric Ebener, who is interested in training experts who are able to recognize and effectively exploit the potential of digital and hybrid events: ”In the event industry, we have to catch up on the development of 30 years of analog live events within a very short time and raise digital and hybrid projects to the same level.Last but not least, digital events are one of the few really big levers for noticeably reducing the carbon footprint of our industry.”

Interested parties can now register for the “Director Digital and Hybrid Events IHK” course. The complete course program as well as further information on course details, costs and booking are available on the Website of the HKBiS
